It Has Quickly Evolved Into A ‘Netiquette’ Standard

Building a comprehensive list of subscribers to your newsletter, or even those who will respond to your email offers, is vital for any marketer and will require an autoresponder. An autoresponder is simply a software that will ‘automatically respond’ to any email sent to the account.

Email Autoresponder Software is an effective tool for each campaign, responding to each email sent without requiring any effort from you, satisfying your subscribers and saving you time. In fact, subscribers think that either you personally, or a team of dozens of people are actually responding to each of their emails.

(However, many people, regardless of their familiarity with technology, are aware of auto responders. While they have not actually heard the work “autoresponder” prior, they are likely aware of automatically generated emails, especially considering the prevalence of emails that tell you “Please do not respond to this message.”)

Nevertheless, while these individuals understand that is highly unlikely that they will receive a “thank you for subscribing to my newsletter” email within minutes after subscribing, they will still expect some form of response within a day or so.

This is because it has become a common practice! Failing to do so is consider in poor taste, not taking into account basic ‘netiquette’ practices; therefore, not using some form of autoresponder places you at a serious disadvantage.

GetResponse, Aweber, or Another?

Similar to most autoresponders, GetResponse and Aweber are the most used autoresponders, and they operate within “sequential” guidelines. Essentially, this means that they operate by using a “sequence” of preset responses to reply to your subscriber’s emails, and these are responses that you have programmed prior.

However, it should be states that there are far more subscription autoresponder software companies to choose from than simply GetResponse or Aweber. Simply, these are the two most commonly used software. The companies that created each program have been in the industry for a longer duration, and offer more features than any other software currently on the market. These programs have been honed more than their counterparts.

So, which company do you choose? This decision really comes down to nothing more than personal taste and comfort, especially as both programs have thousands of users. Personally, I employ Aweber, but both options are excellent choices. Do not try to make matters more complicated for you or your campaign. Select an email autoresponder software and simplify your campaign today!
