Recently, I came across an educational tutorial that talked about tracking statistics, and how important it is to keep track of how well your email marketing campaigns are actually performing.

From what I can see, you’ve got a 25% “open” ration, and that’s good for you! I started out thinking that if you didn’t have a roughly 100% open rate, then you must be doing something wrong.

The average open rate is roughly 15% to 25%, and if you’re doing that, then you’re doing pretty good.

That’s when i started looking at my stats, and figured out that I’m actually falling into the good ratio. But, I haven’t even looked at all of my email campaigns. Some of them will always perform better than others.

That got me thinking about what I would send in my next email. My Email Marketing Campaign Tracking that do have a 25% open rate will be ones that have the I use again later – but with new information.

The ones that end up only have an open rate of 15% or lower probably won’t get used over again.

I don’t have a list of job seekers – I have a list of network marketers. My campaigns are about teaching people the things that I know on that particular list. But, they might not see each one of my tidbits of knowledge as something they need.

Most people are looking for particular insights that they can connect to. For example, they might want to learn about how they can generate their own leads, or how they can discuss topics with other network marketers.

Generally, these topics can go even deeper and spin off into new topics that I can use later. With tracking tools I can keep tabs on how well my email marketing campaigns are performing, and develop a better understanding of my audience and their needs.

I thought going into marketing that I already knew what was what. I thought I already had it in the bag. And boy I could not have been more wrong – I made all the classic mistakes that first time network marketers make. Instead of sharing the things that I want to share, I really have to share things that my readers are interested in.

So, if you’ve been using an email marketing campaign or autoresponder service, you ought to check your statistics and see if you can figure out better ways to appeal to your prospects.

I guarantee that after you do, you’ll get a much higher open rate.
